I'm hoping that there would be some new Cars Toon episodes released in 2012 so I won't have to wait for 2013. Here's my ideas for some:

One could show trains (because I like trains and I hope that there'll be some British steam trains in Cars 3 to see what they look like).

Another could show filmmaking (because I like looking at about filmmaking).

Another could show boats.

A few could show water skiing and skiing in the mountains.

Another could show climbing mountains.

Another could show cowboys.

Another could show Hawaii.

Another could show the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Another could show Formula One.

Another could show the Titanic.

Another could show the World Cup.

Another could show Rio (which I also want in Cars 3).

Another could show going into the Solar System (with normal names for the planets).

Some others could be made for holiday seasons like Easter, Halloween and Christmas (again normal names).

As John Lassetire in the Cars Land Grand Opening Ceremony said, there could be a new episode about a green truck with wooden doors, which that would actually be himself.

There was an online catalogue mentioning about new Cars Toons being released in 2012 and 2013, but I don't know if it means episodes or books. (I would like it to be episodes, so I would be interested if there's more episodes released in 2012, is there?) Is there going to be more episodes for 2012? Does the catalogue mean books or TV episodes?

Do you like my ideas?

Role: none

5

104

Mater offers to tow home a stranded Japanese car (named Ito-San), but ends up in Tokyo, Japan after hauling him all the way across the Pacific Ocean. "Lightning Dragon McQueen" shows up to help Mater fend off an attack by Kabuto's ninjas and then help Mater catch up with Kabuto.

"Monster Truck Mater"

July 30, 2010

When faced with his biggest opponent yet -the Monster of Dr. Frankenwagon-, Mater tags in his "tag team partner," Frightening McMean (Lightning McQueen).

Note: When Lightning asks Mater what he did he answered, "Don't you remember nothin'?! We was a tag team!" instead of saying, "Well don't you remember?! You was there, too!"

Role: Monster Truck Wrestler

7

"Heavy Metal Mater"

October 8, 2010

203

Mater is a rock star in a heavy metal band. He starts out in a garage band and rises to the top with his hit song, "Dad Gum" (which bears a heavy-metal style by accident when the drummer goes crazy trying to kill a fly on the drum while recording an album), a song based on the line Mater is famous for. Lightning McQueen joins him on stage in the middle of a huge concert and they rock into history.

Note: This episode premiered on Disney.com outside the U.S. before on Disney Channel and on Disney XD. Also in this episode when Lightning asks Mater, "YOU were Heavy Metal Mater?", he answered, "No. WE was Heavy Metal Mater!" instead of saying, "Well don't you remember?! You was there too!"

Role: Heavy Metal Rock Star

8

"Moon Mater"

November 2, 2010

204

Mater is the first Tow Truck on the moon. His mission: Rescue the Impala XIII by giving him a tow and bringing him back to Earth. Lightning McQueen joins Mater and they are met with a hero's welcome.

Note: When Lightning disbelieves Mater's claim that he went 17,000 MPH, the tow truck answered, "But that was nothin' compared to you!" instead of saying, "Well don't you remember?! You was there, too!". Also it was released on DVD, November 2, 2010.

Role: Astronaut

9

"Mater Private Eye"

November 2, 2010

205

Mater is a private investigator working on a case of counterfeit tires when Tia rolls back into his life. She hires Mater to find her sister, Mia, who's been car-napped. Mater searches for clues and closes in on a major crime scene. Lieutenant Lightning McQueen arrives just in time to help bring the criminals to justice.

Note: In this episode when Lightning asks Mater what he did he answered, "Like you don't know, Lt. Lightning McQueen!" instead of saying, "Well don't you remember?! You was there, too!". Also it was released on DVD, November 2, 2010.

This episode also explains an exaggerated theory how Mater lost his left headlight. It was pried off for him "bein' too nosy," a reference to a scene in the noir film Chinatown in which the private eye has his nose cut (Mater was shown losing his other headlight in the Pixar short Mater and the Ghostlight).

Role: Private Investigator

Season 3: 2011-present

Season 3 started on November 1, 2011 with the episode "Air Mater" (as a DVD release with the film Cars 2).

"Air Mater"

November 1, 2011

301

A tow service leads Mater to Propwash Junction, a town of planes. Amazed by all these flying machines, Mater gets interested in learning how to fly when he sees Skipper's Flight School, which has a sign that says they could teach anyone. After learning how to fly, he learns himself to fly backwards and amazes a group of stunt planes known as the Falcon Hawks. Since one of them has sprained their wing during practice for a stunt show, they ask Mater to take place of the injured plane. He accepts and becomes the stunt planes' new member. Lightning McQueen, also a stunt plane, helps Mater at one point when he is in trouble. The short ends with Mater wondering to himself that "They oughta make a whole movie about planes!", an idea that Skipper's assistant, Sparky, thinks is a good idea.

Notes: When Lightning asks Mater what he did, Mater replies, "Oh, you remember, Lightning McQueen Hawk!" instead of saying, "Well don't you remember?! You was there, too!". Also, "Air Mater" is the first project from Pixar Canada.

Role: Stunt Airplane

Guest stars: Stacy Keach as Skipper, Jonathan Adams as Judge Davis

"Time Travel Mater"

June 5, 2012

302

Accidentally gaining the ability to travel in time, Mater travels back to 1909 in the middle of a desert, where he meets Stanley, the founder of Radiator Springs, who works as a travelling radiator caps salesman. With the realization, that if Stanley goes away there would be no Radiator Springs, Mater brings McQueen from the future, and Stanley sells him a radiator cap. Mater then suggests Stanley to settle there and build a town where he could serve broken cars, and Stanley accepts. Jumping a few years forward, Stanley shows Mater and McQueen the expanding town, when Mater takes a note of a broken Model T, which turns out to be Lizzie. Lizzie's seemingly falling in love with McQueen makes Mater panic again about the Radiator Spring's future, but it turns out that Lizzie had her eye on Stanley. Introduced to each other by McQueen, he and Mater make another time jump, where they attend the Stanley and Lizzie's wedding, before returning back in the present time. There, Lizzie thanks McQueen for introducing her and Stanley.

Notes: This episode was the first, and so far, only Cars Toons: Mater's Tall Tales episode with Lizzie in it. It's also the first episode without Mia and Tia in it. This may be due to the fact that being modernized cars, they didn't even exist yet. This is the first Cars Toons: Mater's Tall Tales episode with Lightning McQueen in his World Grand Prix paint job, as seen in Cars 2. This is also the first episode in which Mater does not say something related to "Well don't you remember?! You was there, too!" It's also the first time we see McQueen's engine.

Role: Time Traveler

Guest star: John Michael Higgins as Stanley

Season 4: 2013-2014

It was said in August 2012 that there will be a 4th season of Cars Toons: Mater's Tall Tales, starting in 2013.
