John Carter and 1906

Hey Jeff, remember that talk we had earlier, I think 1906 and John Carter of Mars, now just "John Carter",[1] should be deleted and added on to this page. You said the pages have good content, and yes, you're right, they do have good content. However John Carter of Mars is only being directed by Andrew Stanton and although 1906 is both directed by Brad Bird & being financially backed up by Pixar that just isn't enough to have their own pages. I noticed John Carter of Mars was renamed to "John Carter" so I was gonna rename it on the wiki but then I remembered that I thought 1906 and John Carter should be deleted and added here. --Aaron 05:21, June 3, 2011 (UTC)

So far, this page has one-liners for the different works. Both John Carter and 1906 pages have a good amount of information on them. If we move them to this page, do you think they deserve extra space, maybe a paragraph of content? --Jeff (talk) 12:19, June 3, 2011 (UTC)
Well sure, if you want to, just not a long paragraph. Oh and I just noticed 1906 and John Carter were already on here so I'll just add more information on them. So once the information is transferred we'll mark the two pages for deletion? Also Brad Bird's work on The Simpsons has three lines on here, just sayin'. --Aaron 20:28, June 3, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, that sounds good. Thanks! --Jeff (talk) 04:42, June 4, 2011 (UTC)
Alright I added the extra information and I removed and marked for deletion anything related to 1906 and John Carter. --Aaron 23:17, June 4, 2011 (UTC)
OK, I removed some of the pages. The movie pages have a number of links to other pages, so I want to get rid of those links before removing the pages. Thanks for transferring the stuff to this page! --Jeff (talk) 16:02, June 5, 2011 (UTC)
Your welcome, I'll help you remove the links to the other pages when I get time. --Aaron 05:26, June 6, 2011 (UTC)
Alright all the links to 1906 and John Carter have been removed or redirected to this page. I noticed you already deleted "John Carter of Mars" so you can just delete 1906 now. --Aaron 22:12, June 10, 2011 (UTC)
OK, page has been deleted. Thanks! --Jeff (talk) 23:19, June 10, 2011 (UTC)

Page title

I think the title of this page should be changed to "Non-Pixar works associated with Pixar staff", since these are not only films, as stated as such as the top of the article. Anyone have a problem with that? Thanks. - RaptorWiki (Ryan) - Pixar Wikia Administrator 23:03, September 28, 2011 (UTC)

I thought that too, but I thought of "Non-Pixar productions associated with Pixar staff" which is too long, so I didn't rename it. I'm totally fine with the renaming, go ahead and do it. Thanks. --Aaron (chat) 23:07, September 28, 2011 (UTC)
Sounds good, thanks. --Jeff (talk) 23:16, September 28, 2011 (UTC)

Meet the Robinsons

What about Meet the Robinsons? Lassiter pretty much saved that movie, and the finished release feels a lot like a Pixar movie. Isn't that a non-Pixar movie associated with Pixar staff/influence?

Not sure why my signature didn't show up before, but I still think this movie should be added.Sbwinter2 01:39, July 14, 2012 (UTC)

No, I wouldn't consider it as a non-Pixar movie. It was a Disney movie, and Pixar is a part of Disney. Lasseter oversees all Disney animated films now. --Jeff (talk) 02:10, July 15, 2012 (UTC)
Ok. At the time MtR was made, the animation dept. was not under Lassiter, but I can see your point. So, the criteria for this list is that the movie has to be non-Disney, or if Disney (like John Carter), non-aminated. Sbwinter2 02:58, July 15, 2012 (UTC)

Isn't 1906 being done by Pixar? Numbuh400 (talk) 17:00, July 26, 2012 (UTC)

What about Wreck it Ralph?

That's done by Lasseter, but does that still count, after what was said on the 'Meet The Robinsons' topic?

Planes is a Pixar-inspired work, John Lasseter was the executive producer.Lynn.lucerocarlin (talk) 06:05, February 16, 2014 (UTC)

As said in the "Meet the Robinsons" section above, Lasseter is executive producer of everything animation Disney does, so it not a reason to mention him; unless we know he had any more important involvement in Planes? Gray Catbird (talk) 15:26, February 16, 2014 (UTC)
He was also one of the people who did the original story of Planes. --Lightening McQueen (talk) 17:39, February 20, 2014 (UTC)
That's interesting... I think I heard something on the same lines as well... Could it be possible to get a source of some kind on this ?--Gray Catbird (talk) 02:38, February 21, 2014 (UTC)
Hmm... Well, I know that it shows up in the closing credits of the film, since I own the Blu-ray version of it. Does that count? (I was going to get a picture of it from, but I couldn't because of the copyright notice on the site.) --Lightening McQueen (talk) 12:42, February 21, 2014 (UTC)
Film credits would definitively count as a reliable source. What is he listed for ?
I'm not sure how Planes should be listed on this page though. Is it a "film of higher importance"? Maybe not since Lasseter isn't the director... Then it would be in the "Employees" section. But I'm surprised that said section doesn't have a sub-section for Lasseter ? --Gray Catbird (talk) 22:16, February 21, 2014 (UTC)

Planes: Fire & Rescue

Planes: Fire & Rescue is another Pixar-inspired work, John Lasseter wil be the executive producer.Lynn.lucerocarlin (talk) 03:31, February 20, 2014 (UTC)

Is there a source about John Lasseter being the executive producer? --Lightening McQueen (talk) 12:44, February 21, 2014 (UTC)
No matter, it's still Pixar inspired. - RaptorWiki (Ryan) 15:35, February 21, 2014 (UTC)

Gary Rydstrom was supposed to make his full-length feature film directorial debut on Newt, but it was cancelled / shelved. Lynn.lucerocarlin (talk) 03:35, February 20, 2014 (UTC)

Yes, but newt doesn't apply for this page, since it is a Pixar film. The goal of this page is to talk about things not made by Pixar that involve Pixarians. Gray Catbird (talk) 22:08, February 21, 2014 (UTC)
