T.G. Castlenut is a character in Cars 3.

T.G. Castlenut is a veteran racer who races for the team "Re-Volting", replacing Davey Apex sometime between the first and third films. Unlike Apex, who had the number 84, Castlenut is number 48. However, he himself gets fired and replaced by a next-generation rookie named Aaron Clocker before the race at the Motor Speedway of the South.

- While he and Aaron Clocker used the number 48 in Cars 3, Davey Apex, the Re-Volting racer in Cars, had used the number 84.
- Mattel had confused him with Davey Apex in its 1:55 scale diecast toy series, mistakenly labeling him as T.G. Castlenut.
- T.G. is a Brawny Motor Co. Spark EA race car with Lightyear racing tires.
