Pompidou is Gusteau's patissier in Ratatouille.

As the patissier of Gusteau's Restaurant, he creates delectable desserts for the customers to order. It was said that before he worked at Gusteau's, he was a compulsive gambler and was banned from Las Vegas and Monte Carlo casinos. When Remy accidentally fell into the kitchen he made his way to an open window which was closed by Pompidou but immediately open up again by Alfredo Linguini when he had to spit out bad soup. He is last seen near the ending of the film, where he quits his job sadly after Linguini introduces Remy to him and the others.
