Marcia Karen Wallace (November 1, 1942 - October 25, 2013) was an American actress, voice artist, comedian and game show panelist who was best known for her television role as Carol Kester on the CBS sitcom The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978, and for her voice role as Edna Krabappel on the Fox animated sitcom The Simpsons from 1990 until her death of pneumonia and sepsis in 2013.
She voiced the Librarian in Monsters University, which was released in theaters a few months before her death.
