Dug is a Golden Retriever who appears in Up. He belongs to the villain of the story, Charles Muntz. He is every ounce a puppy, and quickly becomes attached to Carl, who is at first hesitant to accept Dug. When he does, Dug expresses his joy in a manner that leaves no doubt that he prefers his new master. He has a special collar that translates his thoughts to speech, made for him by Muntz.
During the credits of the film, it is revealed Dug mated with a similar Golden Retriever, and they had many puppies.
