- The film was promoted by Burger King twice, the first time during its theatrical release in 1995 and the second time during its home video release the following year. Both promotions included two sets, and all four sets included Buzz Lightyear and Woody.
- So far, Toy Story is the only Pixar movie to be promoted by Burger King. However, the film was promoted by McDonald's outside of the USA and Latin America. The rest of the Pixar movies (excluding Ratatouille, Toy Story 3, and Coco) are promoted by McDonald's, starting with A Bug's Life.
